A Bird in the Cage

Look at this bird in the cage,

We know he is in pain,

Everyday he dreams of one thing,

Will he ever fly again…?

Look at this bird in the cage,

It looks so beautiful from outside,

All we see is its calmness,

Try to see its tears which he drinks inside…

Look at this bird in the cage,

In front of him lies the endless sky,

But how unfortunate is his destiny,

In spite of wings he can’t fly…..

Look at this bird in the cage,

We say, we have to pay in this life for the sin we have created,

This really questions our belief,

I wonder what wrong this innocent bird might have committed,

Look at this bird in the cage,

He lost everything from the movement he was caught,

His life, his family, his freedom and what else not,

But still he is alive, with a ray of hope in his heart,

That one day he will be free and fly away, which is now present in his thoughts…..
